While walking through the streets of Paris one warm barmy  September afternoon, I stumbled along a little candle boutique named Cire Trudon .The aroma coming from within lured me inside.  It stocked the most beautiful candles that I had ever seen. The smells where wonderful it was so hard to decide which one I liked the best.  I did notice that a lot them were named after french royalty like Marie Antoinette and Napoleon. It was funny because my husband and I were in the process of buying a french chateau and I was thinking about naming the bedrooms after these people. So it was something that stuck in my mind for the future.

I did purchase a candle and  it was the one named Josephine which was exquisite, the smell had so much depth and it smelt of fresh roses and Jasmin. Josephine is reputed to describe her plants in the garden of Ruil Malmaison “These are my subjects I will try to make them happy.” She created a romantic garden of flowers from around the world.

I  could not wait to get home and light it. This was my first experience of Cire Trudon candles.
