La Fête Nationale

We had the great privilege of spending the Fête Nationale at le Chateau les Villettes in the company of Sharon and Dave who are the perfect hosts.

As evening fell we were royally entertained and taken back to the eighteenth century in an atmosphere that Marie Antoinette would have felt perfectly at home.

The following morning the doors were opened and the sound of cattle lowing in the distance accompanied by birdsong wafted in on a gentle breeze ..the scent of warm croissants and hot coffee made the troubles of the world fade into a distant memory….perfect.
